Female Pattern Baldness
About one in three women experience hair loss, especially after menopause. It usually causes thinning at the front and crown. The Ludwig Scale helps assess its extent and guide treatment.

Hair Shedding
Acute Telogen Effluvium causes sudden widespread shedding with many short regrowing hairs. If it lasts over nine months it’s chronic. Triggers vary; identifying the cause allows treatment and regrowth

Male Pattern Baldness
Male pattern baldness is common and progresses through temple recession or crown thinning. The Norwood Scale is used to assess its stage and guide personalised treatment and monitoring.

Scarring Alopecia
Scarring alopecia occurs when follicles are destroyed and replaced by scar tissue, often from autoimmune disease, injury, or infection. It can develop gradually and becomes noticeable with shedding.

Patchy Alopecia
Alopecia Areata causes patchy, coin-sized bald spots that may merge; regrowth is often fine or white. Severe forms include Totalis and Universalis. Treatment varies with severity and cause.

I went for my first appointment with apprehension but I needn't have worried as on meeting Ben realised that he wasn't scary at all but kind and caring. He is an expert in Trichology and has the ability to share his expertise by giving helpful information in a way that put me at ease and made me feel better able to cope with my scalp problem. Ben advised a treatment at the Salon, where I met Sabrina who did the treatment and who was also kind and friendly.
After a very disappointing and unhelpful consultation with a dermatologist, I decided to research trichologists. I'm so glad I found Ben! His approach is nurturing, friendly, thorough and scientific - much more than my dermatologist was. He helped me see things clearer than I have in a long time. I'd happily recommend Ben to anyone for hair and scalp issues!
